Sutter's Grant is.....

now over $350!  This may not seem like a lot, but a few weeks ago it was only $60!  Sutter needs to find his family quickly.

Good Evening All

I am just getting over the flu, and have not been able to keep up with much.  I hope all are well on this Good Friday.  Tomorrow, I will be taking my son to a friend's house to celebrate the Passover Seder.  Yes, a little late but my flu kind of got in the way.  Cannot enjoy brisket when one is ill :-).

So, with all of these holy days upon us, can we make this Sutter's last without his family?  Please consider adopting him.  If you cannot adopt him, please contribute to his fund!!

Happy Easter and Blessed Passover

Happy Birthday!

Although this is a little older, it is a GREAT picture of Sutter.  He has until next summer to find a home, or he will be kept behind bars in a mental institution.  Please please help me find his family!

Donate Here

I just noticed I forgot to list his link again ;-);  http://reecesrainbow.org/?s=sutter. His grant is now over $285!!

Another Sutter Smile!

This is Sutter, and for all intents and purposes his brother in his group home.  Is he not the most handsome kiddo?!  So, from the picture alone we know that Sutter can stand with help, can form bonds with other, and since the other young man has Down Syndrome, I am betting that he helps him with anything he is not able to do on his own.  I would also venture that he sticks up for him when he belives he has been wronged on some way.  He's a good boy that really needs a family.  Please share so his family can find him.  Please donate to help them go get him!!

Sharing Another Little Boy

This little guy is in Eastern Europe also.  He only has a few more months until he gets placed into an adult mental institution.  He is 5 years old.  I know he's not Sutter, but most folks look for younger children.  If so, this is your guy!  Darren!!

Our Little Chuch That Can

Giving a shameless plug to my little UCC congregation.  They are an amazing bunch of folks.  They welcomed this non-Christian with open arms when I told the pastor I would like to learn from them about their religion.  Love them!

Sutter

Couldn't help it, but wanted to share the only other picture I have of Sutter.  This is a TALL boy, and he would flourish with some love, physical therapy, and OMgoodness some FOOD!!

Hi

I forgot to introduce myself.  My name is Val, and I am the adoptive mom to a wonderful son.  I have been married for a whole lot of years, and would like to adopt another child some day.  My son is autistic, along with other SNs, but that in no way slows him down.

I fell in love with Sutter's smile one day, and truly cried after reading his story.  How can one look at the intelligence in his eyes, and not just want to run over and make him part of their family?  Why not us?  Well, honestly, after long hours of number crunching, it would take raising enough money for his cover the majority of his adoption fees for us to be able to afford to.  That is about $20,000 give or take a few thousand.  We are still catching up from adopting our first son.  Plus, one's husband must also be on board :-).

So, if Sutter is meant to be ours, we will figure it out.  However, in the interim I am hoping that someone falls in love with his smile as much as I have.  There is love, intelligence, and kindness in those eyes.  He deserves to be brought home and loved by his family, the chance to become a man, and a chance to have the life every living person deserves a shot at.  If you donate through his link on Reece's Rainbow, it is tax deductible for American's.  Not sure how international donations would work.  It is a registered 501 C3 organization.  Here is the link (yes, I will be inundating peope with it ;-)} http://reecesrainbow.org/?s=sutter

Let's Raise Some Funds for Sutter!

If you cannot adopt Sutter, please consider adding to his adoption grant.  There are plenty of families that can adopt, but seeing that adopting is expensive means that some people do not have the large amount of money readily available.  ALL donations made through his website are tax deductible.  http://reecesrainbow.org/?s=sutter

This is Sutter!  I have completely fallen for that beautiful smile!  Look into his eyes, and you can see a beautiful soul looking out at you.  Sutter is going to age out of his orphanage in Eastern Europe.  I am hoping his family finds him in time!  Sutter lives with cerebral palsy, and needs a family who will give him everything he needs to grow into adulthood.  You can see him here: http://reecesrainbow.org/?s=sutter.

From a person who met Sutter: Sutter is a really smart boy. He likes to make puzzles and he can solve them really fast. His favorite game was copying a picture and rebuild it with little colored pins on a board with holes. If you try to fool him, he will say ‘no’ and start to laugh contagious. I’m sure that he would be able to participate in some kind of education. He had several operations as a child, which improved his locomotion, but after his growth spurt he lost some of his mobility again. He tries to walk with crutches and he gets PT for it. With the right medical care I’m pretty sure he would be able to walk. Some days he is really kind for the other children in his group and then he acts really helpful. Other moments he tries to get all the attention. He would do very well in a family, where he gets the attention he deserves. Sutter becomes 15 this year. He needs a family committed to him before his 16th birthday, otherwise he will never be able to join a family, his chanced are gone then and then he is condemned to institution life for the rest of his life.
